KPMG has launched the first international platform for electronic auctions provided with an English language interface. KPMG in Ukraine has joined the network of auction operators accredited by the Deposit Guarantee Fund (DGF) for the sale of insolvent bank assets, carried out through the ProZorro.Sale electronic auctions system.
The KPMG Ukraine Auction Platform allows Ukrainian international investors to participate in DGF auctions. We expect that the platform will help to significantly develop the Ukrainian market of distressed assets. KPMG will act as leading consultant for foreign investors in Ukraine providing a comprehensive range of services, including assessment of investment opportunities, legal, financial and tax advice on acquiring assets, review of asset documentation before the acquisition, pricing assistance and post-acquisition support.
“Since 2016, we have been monitoring developments and believe that improvements to the market infrastructure now make the Ukrainian NPL attractive to new foreign investors. The launch of the KPMG electronic auction platform is a positive signal for the financial market and contribute to improve the investment attractiveness of insolvent assets and the economy of Ukraine in general”, stressed Yuriy Fedoriv Director, Deal Advisory and Head of Restructuring for KPMG-Ukraine. “The main benefit of the KPMG Ukraine Auction Platform are the expert support of our specialists. KPMG has extensive experience working with NPLs in many countries of the world. KPMG consultants in Ukraine will help local and global investors define a strategy for further working with such assets” said Roman Mohylnytsky, Project manager, Restructuring, KPMG-Ukraine.
The KPMG Ukraine Auction Platform is a reflection of KPMG values that are configured for transparent and open procedures during electronic auctions. KPMG is aiming to enforce compliance of all the regulatory procedure requirements of the Deposit Guarantee Fund.
